Easter Sunday!
Yesterday's Egg Hunt went well, with over 5,000 people showing up. =) And I also picked up our free family photo we had done a couple of weeks ago. We are a good looking little Family! After a much deserved nap we went to dinner with a couple from our small group to Carrabba's. Another =). And we rented a red box and got a lotto ticket on the way home.
Today we went to our church's early service since things changed and my husband's family egg hunt wasn't until 5. After our service we came home then decided to take the hour trip to surprise my family.
We pulled up right around one and everyone was glad to see us, and I was glad to see the ham, dinner rolls, and scalloped potatoes. haha! After lunch we had a hunt with a twist. There was a limit to your eggs and each person had to find a smiley face egg. Then we basically had a yankee swap with our numbers that were in the smiley eggs. I got number 1!!! I started with a pin wheel, and ended up with a squirt gun. When asked if I wanted to keep it or trade for another item, my decision was answered by me running to the kitchen to fill up the squirt gun and shoot the person who ended up with the other one.... my dad! Of course we had to take it outside, but it was fun for the next five minutes!
From there we drove straight to my in-laws where once again there was plenty of food! Forgot our bathing suits, but the hot tub felt nice on my legs. This egg hunt is more intense as everyone is older than 20 usually. But this year we have a nephew who is one and able to walk so we are advised to leave eggs on the ground for him. Once I hear go I'm out and grabbing all around me, even a few on the ground. ;) (He isn't a fast walker and forty on the ground would have been impossible to carry right?) So I was doing well, when I hear the eggs with money in them are out front, so in seconds I am left alone in the backyard thinking now I will get the most and win! Well ends up getting the most this year didn't have a grand prize but I have my pride and my 71 eggs I can rub in everyone's face. It didn't seem anyone else got more than 40 eggs.
Total day rewards combined. Two meals in leftovers, lots of candy, a squirt gun, glitter pencils (my husband's yankee win), $3 from eggs at my parents, $2 in scratch-offs at the in laws (he got 5 but only one was a winner), and we came home to check our powerball numbers and found out we won $4!
Best Easter ever!
